Swim a Mile with a Smile !
Last Thursday a man came in to talk to us on Swim a mile with a Smile. His name was Brian Daly. I had heard of him before in 3rd year when myself and Rebecca C
were having a conversation in Business. This man had a very inspirational son called Ian Daly. Ian died of a brain tumour when he was ten and his parents founded an association to help keep their son alive, raise money for Barretstown and Crumlin but also to have fun. They set it up because their son enjoyed swimming but through hard times always had a smile on his face. For the above reasons I feel Ian is a very inspirational individual. This foundation is for a worthy cause and for that reason all Ty’s are partaking in the Swim a mile Challenge! I cant wait it should be very interesting and a day to remember !

Sometimes in April !!!
In religion over the past 5 weeks with Mrs. KB we have been discussing Armenian genocide. These classes have been very interesting because I never had heard of the term genocide before ! ! ! For the past few weeks she has been preparing us for a movie on Rwanda which is situated in Africa next to the Congo. Tomorrow we will be watching a movie called “Sometimes In April”. It seems very educational and interesting. I am really looking forward to it !!
Irish Dancing !!
Last week we had Irish Dancing classes with Mr.S. It was really good ! We were practicing for seachtain na gaeilge :) I haven’t done dancing for years. I was partnered with Sandra for this experience and she seemed to enjoy this experience as much as I did. We will continue on practicing our dancing after the mid-term due to the mock examinations taking place. I look forward to this ! ! Recently in irish we have been playing who wants to bea millionaire as gaeilge it is really fun ! A different but fun way of improving our irish grammer.
